Mauritius - Weather Guide:
As Mauritius is located in the southern hemisphere, seasons are the opposite of those in the UK. Temperatures peak in the summer months, averaging between the high 20s and low 30s, whilst the winter season is slightly cooler. Between July and August, the evenings can be cool – so a light jacket may be required when sitting outdoors.

There’s no real rainy season in Mauritius, however, there can be short downpours throughout the year, though they never tend to last long. The main difference between the east and west coasts of Mauritius is the winds – the east coast experiences trade winds in winter which can be a welcome relief from the balmy temperatures. You’ll find that the hotels on the east coast are designed with this in mind, with public areas protected from coastal winds.

The best time for a golf holiday to Mauritius is during the UK’s winter months. Meaning you can escape the plummeting temperatures at home and the impending shorter days, for idyllic beaches and tropical Indian Ocean sunshine.

Mauritius can be enjoyed all year round, with little fluctuation in temperature throughout the year. Travel in April and September is popular, benefiting from slightly lower pricing and quieter golf courses.
