Popular Golf Courses In South Africa:

  • Durban (Country Club).
  • Fancourt (Links).
  • Humewood.
  • St. Francis Links.
  • Leopard Creek.
  • Royal Johannesburg & Kensington (East).
  • Glendower.
  • Arabella.
  • Millvale.
  • The River Club.
The Country Club Course at Durban Country Club is universally considered to be one of the finest layouts in South Africa. Many believe that the opening five holes at Durban Country Club represents the best start in the world. The 1st hole, a par four measuring 390 metres from the tips is a daunting start to any round and we're certain it has struck fear into the hearts of many hardened pros competing in the SA Open. You can hear the Indian Ocean clearly from the tricky par three 2nd, which is perched on the high ground. The small elevated green is guarded ferociously by four bunkers. The back nine plays across the flatter ground than the rollercoaster of a front nine but the back is good golf indeed.

The new St. Francis Links course lies an hour's drive along the coast of Humewood in Port Elizabeth. The course lies a little inland from the coast and it displays many links traits with fairways laid out on rugged, tumbling, sandy terrain. The Nicklaus-designed St. Francis course offers the links-like a game of golf as you will experience anywhere on the continent of Africa, it offers enough to satisfy even the most hard-to-please links golfers.

Established in 1890, Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club is a hidden gem filled with special Charm, History & Tradition! Nestled in the heart of our wonderful city with 2 exceptional golf courses, the East Championship Course ranked in the top 10 of SA course ratings alongside a Rolex top 100 club in the world, and the West Course is ranked in the top 40 and ensures an enjoyable round.
