Perched Proudly upon one of the highest points in Nottinghamshire, Coxmoor commands Panoramic views across the Leicestershire Wolds and the Vale of Belvoir.
On a clear day from the 13th tee you can see as far as Lincol Minister.
The course stretches out beyond 6,700 yards with par set at 73, and five par fives, there are birdie oppertunities available for the taking.
There are also some very testing holes and probably the toughest include the 5th and the 12th.
If the prevailing wind is up, both these par fours are virtually out of reach in regulation.

The course is situated in a natural valley within Kirkby Forest that utilises the naturally undulating terrain to the full. Some fairways sweep through wooded hillsides and others run through heather, fern and gorse clad valleys.
Willie Park Junior created a course of just short of 6000 yards which was long in those days using gutta percha balls and hickory clubs.
The strength of challenge continues today exemplified by a par of 72 and SSS 76 from the Championship tees which now measures 7250 yards.

You will find this golf course in the East Midlands to the east of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, U.K. A long established heathland course alongside the pines, silver birch and oak trees of Clipstone Woods within the legendary Sherwood Forest.
Very proud of its reputation as one of the oldest and finest heathland golf courses in Great Britain and are currently rated 84th best in the British Isles and 35th in England. The course was initially designed by Harry Colt and subsequently enhanced by James Braid.
