Royal Portrush Golf Course

Overview

Portrush Golf Club

Dunlunce Links
Proud host to the 148th and 153rd Open Championships, the Dunluce Links is recognised as one of the top 10 golf courses in the world and known for its challenging greens.

The Dunluce Links is rated as one of the world's most challenging and spectacular links courses.

The Links is named after the nearby ruins of the medieval Dunluce Castle, located on the edge of a basalt outcropping overlooking the sea between Portrush and Portballintrae.

The magnificent layout provides a fair and scenically stunning challenge for golfers.

Valley Links
Situated beside its more famous sister course, the Valley is considered a great hidden gem and a must-play for any visit to Royal Portrush.

On lovely natural seaside turf, the Valley is a full-length championship course of 6,346 yards from the Championship tees. One of the two qualifying rounds in the North of Ireland Open Championship is played annually on this course.

The course is in a sheltered country in War Hollow.

Nonetheless, the natural hazards are to make this course a stern test for the low-handicap golfer and accuracy is needed in the approach shots to the small and cleverly sited greens.
